What is God’s plan for our lives? What is God’s plan for our church? We can only find insights to address this kind of questions once we have grasped what God’s overall eternal plan is for His creation. God’s eternal plan for this world started with the events of Genesis and will end with what was revealed in Revelations. God's people on earth will then proceed onwards to a new world for eternity. God’s plan calls for a complete restoration of creation back to His original design. God’s plan for His people therefore goes beyond their acceptance of His redemption, God intends to completely transform and restore His people to His original design. And for that end, He instituted the church and commissioned us to partner Him in His endeavour. When we can understand our existence and the church’s existence in the context of God’s eternal plan, then we can make sense of our lives and of everything that God asks us to do.
