From TLC’s Sister Wives star Christine Brown Woolley, a groundbreaking and heartfelt memoir about living in a family like no other and finding the strength to leave polygamy—and the only life she’s known—behind.

Christine Brown Woolley had always dreamed of having a picture-perfect family—beautiful children, an adoring husband, and of course, a sisterhood of wives to share him with. Raised in Utah by practicing polygamists, Christine knew her life was less than normal, but that didn’t stop her from loving the full house of her childhood any less.

Becoming Kody Brown’s third wife in 1994, Christine finally found the big, happy family she had hoped for. When TLC’s hit show
Sister Wives premiered in 2010, Christine knew it was her chance to shine a light on the brighter side of polygamy—the helping hands, the lively discussions, and their unmatched devotion to each other. But the cameras also revealed a much darker truth.

Now, in this candid tell-all, Christine shares for the first time the journey that led her away from polygamy and the bold path she is carving to live apart from all she has ever known. Moving, genuine, and insightful, this is a uniquely powerful tour de force of Christine’s journey toward and beyond her time in the spotlight as a sister wife.

Thank You Christine

It would have been easy to write a book that blamed everyone as her halo glowed brighter and brighter. This book feels honest and raw and introspective and real. A must-read for fans of Sister Wives, yes, but also for those women who need to find their own voice.

Honesty and Humor are a good mix

I’ve never watched a huge amount of reality TV but I watched Sister Wives because I thought the Browns’ experience with polygamy showed that that life choice could be lived in a positive manner. I particularly liked Christine and Janelle on the show because they were strong women who were kind and who had good senses of humor.I never thought I was seeing the unvarnished truth about their family life.Christine’s book was interesting and well thought out. It was inspirational to see how she transitioned from being an unappreciated wife to becoming a fulfilled, happy individual. I hope her book does well. I read it in one day and enjoyed it very much.

Love her, loved the book!

Christine has inspired me to set boundaries and seek love I deserve for years now. Her strength and wisdom...and humor...have been a beacon of hope for me. I read this book in one day, and am now listening to her read it on Audible to process it all again, a bit slower. She does a great job reading it by the way.Her authenticity and vulnerability in telling her story are admirable and captivating. I love her insights on being a mom, and appreciate the choices she's made to parent in a way that aligned with her soul's purpose. She really pours her heart out on every page. Also, shout out to women's advocacy and perimenopause awareness! It's a very entertaining read with lots of wit, wisdom, humor, and transparency. Wishing her all the success with this book! Confident it will reach many women, and be an immense comfort and encouragement ❤️
